"Wake up, Mummy, something terrible has happened. They call it Christmas."

The Moomins are woken from their winter hibernation to find Moomin Valley in turmoil. Something called Christmas is apparently coming this evening! And Christmas doesn’t seem nice at all.

With puppets, shadow play and newly-written live music, we join the Moomins as they take their first cautious steps on snow. What is Christmas, really? And why is everyone rushing around like mad?

Marionetteatern’s The Fir Tree (Granen) is a visually dazzling play about the important things in life.
