Meet the French director Ezequiel Garcia-Romeu from the Théâtre de la Massue company. France's cultural attaché, Anne-Dominique Chouteau, will meet the creator and director of the performance "Opus II", which is part of the Pop Up Puppets International Festival organized by the Marionetteatern at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm from August 22-25, 2024.
Ezequiel Garcia-Romeu was born in 1961 in Buenos Aires and now lives in Nice. He is a director, puppeteer, scenographer, teacher, and artistic director of the Théâtre de la Massue company. Ezequiel's work is characterized by an exploration of the new forms of expression that emerge from the meeting of various disciplines – literary works, puppetry, scenography, and new technologies.
Anne-Dominique Chouteau is the French cultural attaché in Sweden with a great interest in performing arts and cultural exchanges.
The guest performances Le Petit Théâtre du Bout du Monde - Opus II and Origin of a Tale are both made possible with support from the Institut Français de Suède.
The artist talk will be held in French with English translation.
