About the festival
Europe visits Stockholm during this year's comics festival – something that is well portrayed in Ola Skogäng's poster image and not least in our festival exhibition Bande dessinée in Swedish - comics in a Franco-Belgian spirit produced by Demervalls Art Studio.
Guests come from France, Belgium, Italy, Great Britain, Switzerland and Finland, but also from Canada and the USA.
Of course, the lion's share of the Swedish comics industry is present – from the big publishers to the self-publishers, from established names to exciting debutants.
Like last year, we are coordinating with Stockholm's book weekend, which is taking place all over the city at the same time.
The market
The heart of the festival is, as always, the comics market, where publishers, cartoonists, fanzinists, comics schools, associations and comic shops sell and display all the best that comic art is capable of.
The market includes four parallel stages, with stage talks and other programs.
